There is a girly girl that i do know. She goes to my church, she actually isn't a girl she is now a mom and shes like in her 30's. She looks like someone from pleasant-ville, she always is dressed up and rarely wheres pants, her hair is about shoulder length and it kind of flips out on the bottom, and it is always the same, always. She once told me that she has never let her husband see her without makeup, and she never has, she told me to do the same when i get married. I was thinking how do you sleep with your makeup on?! She refers to herself as Mrs. Wade Speas, Wade is her husbands name, my mom says that calling yourself by Mrs. and your husbands name is very old fashioned. She love tea parties and old fashioned things like that. She even has a girly girl laugh. I think she is well put together and things like that but i mean its 2007 and those traditions have been gone for years, so i think she needs to get more into today but shes fine in her old fashioned girly ways.

I was watching Oprah today and she had kids on with their parents. The parents were divorced and in some way the kids felt that it was their fault. I felt really bad for them because they were saying how their parents used to fight and i can remember when my parents got into a fight and it hurt me but to have your parents get into a fight and end their marriage, i think that would destroy me, and my siblings. I mean my grandparents are divorced but now they get along, my aunt and former uncle, got a divorce and my cousin was not okay with it even now that she is 21 years old i can still see how she wants her mom to have someone. As i was watching the show i noticed that every kid that was their cried. This one girl who's parents got divorced when she was 9, and she is now 16, she got into drugs at an early age and became promiscuous with over 22 guys in the last 2 years of her life. She became this way because she truly feels it was her fault that her parents aren't together any more, she was 9 and she walked in on her mother and another man, and she told her father and that's when they got the divorce. I was watching the Tyra show and they had a divorce topic that day too, and it is becoming a big issue for their children and parents don't really know how to talk to their kids about this, if their is a mom or dad out there that has been divorced with kids then they should really find out how it has affected their children.

As a college there are many pressures, at home, work, school, and in my social life. I have many things to do and i am always busy. I have to pay for school, and the only way i have to do that is if i work alot, i dont have a car, because my parents said if they bought me a car then they would have to buy all four of us a car. I have to buy my own clothes, food if i go out, my parents dont give me anything but a home and food to eat, and they always have advice. I feel pressures to try to get everything done and sometimes i just cant, i dont have time, i mean if i dont go out and chill with my friends i go crazy, like even when i was a younger kid and i got punished i couldnt take being kept in the house like i get a head ache and i go on little rampages. So i cant be home all the time and it kind of limits my time for school work and keeping my room clean and things like that. What i feel most pressured about is payments and everyday i wake up and wonder how am i getting to school today because me personally cant afford a decent car, because i need to pay for school.

Can TV be related to drug abuse? This is a question that has many answers, People say the content of the Television our children are watching causes them to be violent and use drugs. But there is one journalist that says that it doesn't matter what you are watching it just matters that you are watching, the amount of TV. He means that if as a parent you allow your child to sit in front of the television for hours on end, they will develope a zombie like attitude, and it is relaxing and enjoyable, when the child grows up they might want more of that zombie like feeling, so they try drugs and it is a much more intense version of the zombie, they continue to do it and they get into deeper, more intense drugs. So can the TV, really be a door opener for drugs and your child? Most people would say that the child could be peer pressured when they get to be older and then they do it, that would be because of society, There is also the possibility of just personal reasons why they get into drugs. What I am trying to say is that when people start abusing drugs it can be from any cause.

I have a problem, people telling me how to organize my stuff. Teachers should not tell students how to organize their things, like a notebook for instance they don't need to tell you exactly where to put papers in your notebook. If you have your own way of organization and you hand in your things on time why is it the teachers business to take points off your notebook if tabs are marked the way 'they' don't want it to be. I feel that if you have a personal preference on the way you want your notebook done then that's the way it should be kept. If the teacher decides to check your notebook they should be glad that you even have all the assignments completed and not where they are put. I understand the teacher wants you to be organized but damn let us organize the way we want. I feel differently about organization then other people do, i like having all my papers together and homework separate or what ever i do, i like it done my way because I'm the one using it. I don't need to go out and spend extra money to have it the teachers way. I think teachers can absolutely suggest a way of doing a notebook, but students have enough crap to do then take their time out to organize a way they don't like. so teachers let us be organized in our own way, thanks.

Reading in America has slowed down; less and less people are taking their time out to read. Young children have parents that just let them watch t.v all day long, or play on the computer all the time or even play with violent video games constantly. THese children are learning bad things, the parents that let them play outside and read and dont give as much t.v as others they become more successful then other children with expanding their mind and learning new vocabulary.

On The American Man, Age 10, I felt that Colin was exposed to things young children like him shouldn't really know about for example abortion. He seemed to be growing up way to fast and know to many thing teenagers don't even understand or maybe not even know about. But the way ha talked and the way he did things seemed like a normal American man even though he was only ten years old. It is kind of like the saying, "He's 10 going on 30," showing maturity and responsibility which i saw in Colin. I hate when children act older then they are because it takes away from their innocence, and their childhood. I mean if my parents didn't keep me away from the t.v. most of the time i would probably sit their all day and watch it if i could. with all the crap on t.v these days i would have learned so much stuff that i am glad i didnt know until later in my life. I am glad i had parents would made me play outside and let me explore and use my imagination as much as i could.

The vegetation that I chose was a simple yet very delicate little thing. It was a fragile plant. It was the light green color of a preying mantis. I thought it was soft and fun to play with. It was thin and seemed fragile but it was pretty tough. on the stem little 'branches' branched off of it and they even had little branched out pieces. When we were told to smell it i thought i don't think this is going to smell like anything but it actually did. It had like a fresh air scent, it was weird for a small thing like that to smell like fresh air, maybe because it was out in fresh air i don't know. Its petite stems would gently touch my hand and it felt so nice. It seemed more like a mini tree to me. If there was a flower shop they should definitely have these there, they just remind you of nature in so many ways. It seems like it could almost be a tree, a bush, a seaweed plant, pretty much anything you put your mind to. I am very artistic and when i go to the beach sometimes i will go and pick up stones and rocks, seaweed, shells, sticks , and anything i can find and i make a little house or something i would definitely use this plant in a garden at the persons house.

I think that writing is important because it expands your mind. You use your imagination to describe things that are going on. I like writing poetry if i have to write. I like text messaging to. The way i write things matters to me because i like to have things neat when i write them.

You should be a good writer because if someone reads your work they need to understand it. whether its bad hand writing or the language you use. you need to make sure that people can understand what you say to get your point across.

In this class i feel i need to improve on my words i use, i feel i know a lot of words but i don't necessarily use it when i speak or write. I know how to use a lot of them or they aren't in my vocabulary that i talk like. I write the way i talk so if it like a big word that i know the definition of i dont say it when im talking in a normal conversation.Also i have some trouble with free writing like topics to write on.

In high school my english class was pretty much a joke. My class was 'the worst class' my teacher ever had. It was the class with all the bad kids in it. We barely kept up with all the other english 4 classes also known as senior english. We would always not do our homework and for us all the quizes and tests were suprises because hardly anyone payed attention to what the teacher was talking about.

In the class we had a few books that we read, my teacher finally just started to read it in class to us and have students read aloud so that we knew some what of what was going on in the book. On one of the books we read it felt like it took us like three months to read. My teacher sometimes would give us paper and markers and we would draw what she read like what we thought the scene looked like...IN A SENIOR ENGLISH CLASS! we were pretty much treated like kids, well that is the way that most of us were acting.

About every book we read or short story, we would discuss it and most of the time she had a movie for it. So after we read the story we watched a movie, that hardly anyone payed attention to. We had SAT words that we did everyday so we had quizes on that and we would go over english terms, we studied poetry for a little while and i found that the most fun.
